(re)Formation

A Theatre For Change Full-Length Documentary By Shannon Ivey

There are 2.5 churches for every foster child in South Texas’ Region 8 foster system. With over 70% of Americans identifying as Christian, why are the poor getting poorer? Why are homeless youth still being sold for sex on suburban streets? Why are Christians remaining all but silent?

This year marks the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation, whereby a disenchanted Martin Luther challenged and divided the Catholic Church over what he perceived to be a warped view of Jesus’ core message of Love. By following a group of modern-day, similarly disenfranchised, good Samaritans - who are renovating a transitional home for homeless youth - (re)Formation seeks to answer: Where is Jesus? Does the church need four walls to survive? Is it time for a new (re)formation?

**Tickets are FREE, but reservations are required. Seating will open two weeks before the event and tickets may be reserved by calling the TLU Box Office at 830.372.8180, M-F from 3pm-5:30pm. (re)formation will premeire at the Studio Theatre in the Weston Center for Performing Arts on the TLU Campus.**
